Frigiliana 3 Cultures Festival<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

Through gastronomy, music or different lectures, this Axarqu\u00eda village honours Islamic, Hebrew and Christian cultures. <\/p>\n

Once again Frigiliana is preparing itself to celebrate the 3 Cultures Festival<\/a>, declared of provincial tourist interest.<\/strong> This will be the seventh edition, and it will take place from 23rd to 26th August.<\/strong>
\nThe festival includes a series of cultural events organized by the Town Council<\/a> of this village located between Nerja and Torrox<\/a>.<\/strong> It is a festival which pays a special tribute to the three cultures that left their imprint in medieval Spain: Islamic, Hebrew and Christian, through gastronomy, music, culture and also exhibitions, lectures, concerts, and leisure activities.<\/strong>
\nAny person visiting the area during the celebration of the Festival should not miss the opportunity of knowing this beautiful village in the Axarqu\u00eda \u2013 Costa del Sol<\/a> in the time of the year when it draws more life and revelry.<\/p>\n

Cultures living together<\/h2>\n

On the last weekend in August Frigiliana is decked out to hold a ludic cultural activity turning itself into a forum for the different cultures to meet and live together<\/strong>, and where all the visitors participate.
\nFor that purpose, special attention is paid to embrace various activities<\/strong> that offer a full range of options for all regardless of age or origin.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Activities for all tastes<\/h2>\n

The festival includes high artistic level musical performances in a relaxed and familiar environment, lectures on subjects related to the three cultures, exhibitions, gastronomy events and an exhibition of the local meals in the successful Tapa Route<\/strong> in different bars from the village.
\nOutdoor activities include musical parades, juggling, fakirs, belly dancing<\/strong>, as well as children activities through traditional games, storytelling, children\u2019s theatre, puppet show…<\/strong> All of this is shown in the market of the three cultures<\/strong> where local and original products are offered to the visitors filling the streets with a cosmopolitan and festive atmosphere.<\/p>\n

Increased success in each edition<\/h2>\n

The 2006 first edition impressive success of visitors and critics encouraged the town council to prepare a second edition with more space, more activities and a wider offer, hitting again the target on what visitors required, so that now the Festival is broadly successful and consolidated and it is now considered as a tourist unique attraction in the province<\/strong>. The next editions kept on having a great success in terms of visitors, reaching over 20.000 visits<\/strong> during the four days that the festival lasts.<\/p>\n
