The 2015 <a href=\"https:\/\/issuu.com\/fuertehoteles\/docs\/memoria-rsc-ffhh-2015_en\/1?e=3335100\/40731949\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Corporate Social Responsibility Report,<\/a>\u00a0 presented today by <a href=\"http:\/\/www.fuertehoteles.com\/en\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Fuerte Group Hotels<\/a>, confirms that the last <strong>financial year<\/strong> was very <strong>positive<\/strong> for the Andalusian hotel group, which next year will celebrate its <strong>60th anniversary<\/strong>. Some of the most important <strong>aspects<\/strong> for the company, which runs <strong>6 of its own hotels <\/strong>and <strong>1 <\/strong>leased <strong>apartments complex<\/strong>, all of which are located in <strong>Andalusia<\/strong>, has been the confirmation that efforts made all year to improve <strong>guest satisfaction<\/strong> have been successful, and that its <strong>online reputation<\/strong> was <strong>89.20%,<\/strong> compared to the 88.30% obtained in 2014.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h2><strong>Environment leaders:<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-32014\" src=\"https:\/\/rsc.fuerte-group.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/11\/medio-ambiente.jpg\" alt=\"Fuerte Group Hotels Presents Its 2015 CSR Report\" width=\"640\" height=\"419\" \/><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>All of this seems to confirm that its <strong>clientele<\/strong>, <strong>70%<\/strong> of whom are tourists from <em>Spain, Germany and the United Kingdom<\/em>, and the remaining <strong>30%<\/strong> come from <em>The Netherlands, Ireland, Belgium <\/em>and other <em>European countries<\/em>, follow the current trend seen in the market and among 21st century tourists, and place high value on the commitment that Fuerte Group Hotels has made to sustainability since the beginning of the 1990s.<\/p>\n<p>As part of this framework, for yet another year running <strong>2015 <\/strong>has confirmed the importance of <strong>sustainability <\/strong>to the Andalusian chain. In addition to ongoing <strong>reductions <\/strong>in the <strong>carbon footprint<\/strong> index (<strong>9.72%<\/strong>) last year, which measures CO2 emissions generated by the hotels during the course of their activity, and that currently stands at <strong>11.21 kg<\/strong> of CO2 per guest, the group has lowered its <strong>ecological footprint by 9.15%; decreased <\/strong>its consumption of other resources, such as <strong>diesel<\/strong> and <strong>water,<\/strong> by <strong>9.08%<\/strong> and <strong>2.41%<\/strong> respectively; and has <strong>promoted<\/strong> the <strong>recycling<\/strong> of numerous types of waste such as <em>glass<\/em>, <em>cardboard <\/em>and <em>paper<\/em>, <em>vegetable oil<\/em>, <em>plastic<\/em> and <em>aluminium cans<\/em>. The company has also led an <em>innovative CO2 emissions compensation project,<\/em> allowing Fuerte El Rompido (Huelva) to gain a position as the chain\u2019s first <strong>\u201czero emissions<\/strong>\u201d hotel.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.fuertehoteles.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/11\/infografia-rsc-2015_en.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>View infographics with the main data<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h2><strong>60th anniversary preparations<\/strong><strong>:<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-32017\" src=\"https:\/\/rsc.fuerte-group.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/11\/fuerte-hotel-marbella-1957.jpg\" alt=\"Fuerte Group Hotels Presents Its 2015 CSR Report\" width=\"640\" height=\"419\" \/><\/p>\n<p>On a different note, for years Fuerte Group Hotels has been getting ready to celebrate the <strong>60th anniversary<\/strong> of its creation. Some related actions have already been carried out in 2015, such as the <strong>refurbishment<\/strong> of the chain\u2019s emblematic hotel <strong>Fuerte Miramar<\/strong> (now Am\u00e0re Marbella); improvements to the <strong>facilities<\/strong> at other establishments, such as <a href=\"http:\/\/www.fuertehoteles.com\/en\/hotels\/fuerte-rompido-cartaya\/the-hotel\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Fuerte El Rompido<\/a> and <a href=\"http:\/\/www.fuertehoteles.com\/en\/hotels\/fuerte-marbella\/the-hotel\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Fuerte Marbella<\/a>, to revamp their respective ranges of services for <em>families and adults<\/em>, and to incorporate new <em>gastronomic concepts<\/em>; and the creation of the new corporate brand <strong>Fuerte Group Hotels<\/strong>, to define the <strong>hotel division<\/strong> of the El Fuerte Group and to act as an umbrella organisation under which the <strong>Fuerte<\/strong> and the new brand of Am\u00e0re hotels operate. This latter brand of hotels was also created in 2015 for the purpose of exploiting a sector that has proven itself to be a niche tourism market in the future: hotels<strong> recommended for adults<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>If there is one group of people that will have an intense experience of such a special landmark date, it is the chain\u2019s <strong>workforce,<\/strong> made up of an average of <strong>620 people <\/strong>per season, <strong>90%<\/strong> of whom come from the <strong>Andalusian provinces<\/strong> where the establishments are located. It is very likely that improvements seen in <strong>staff retention indices<\/strong> in the hotels, and the greater <strong>stability<\/strong> among staff seen at the end of <strong>2015<\/strong> are related to a range of interesting <strong>social improvements<\/strong>, such as assistance with buying books and paying for nurseries that employees have been able to benefit from, and over <strong>12,000<\/strong> hours of <strong>training<\/strong> that were given during this period.<\/p>\n<p>Lastly, emphasis should be placed on the other two groups of <strong>stakeholders<\/strong> that Fuerte Group Hotels, whose corporate slogan starts with the phrase \u201c<em>Caring for people<\/em>\u201d, paid particular attention to in <strong>2015<\/strong>: the first group &#8211; <strong>communities<\/strong> in areas where group hotels are located &#8211; benefitted from the execution of <strong>13 social and cultural projects<\/strong> channelled through the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.fundacionfuerte.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Fuerte Foundation<\/a>; and the second group &#8211; <strong>suppliers<\/strong>, particularly <strong>local<\/strong> ones -, from whom products worth <strong>1.4 million euros<\/strong> were purchased during the course of the financial year.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h2><strong>Excellent economic results<\/strong><strong>:<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>To conclude, emphasis should be placed on the fact that <strong>figures<\/strong> included in the 2015 Corporate Social Responsibility Report confirm the excellent economic results obtained by the Andalusian group at the end of the aforementioned financial year. In this regard, the <strong>revenue<\/strong> earned by the chain during 2015 amounted to <strong>51 million<\/strong> euros, <strong>12.55%<\/strong> higher than in 2015; <strong>EBITDA<\/strong> stood at <strong>16.1 million euros<\/strong>, compared to 8.8 million obtained during the previous year.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3><strong>About Fuerte Group Hotels<\/strong>:<\/h3>\n<p>Fuerte Group Hotels is the hotel division of <a href=\"http:\/\/www.fuertehoteles.com\/en\/el-fuerte-group\/letter\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">El Fuerte Group<\/a>, an Andalusian family business group founded in 1957 by Jos\u00e9 Luque Manzano.
