Designed by renowned interior designer Isabel L\u00f3pez Vilalta, who once decorated Celler de Can Roca, Soleo mirrors the ships sailing the Mediterranean that can be seen from its terrace<\/strong><\/p>\n

05 April 2017. Marbella<\/strong>\u2019s<\/strong> mythical seafront promenade<\/strong> has a new beach club restaurant that is just a few days old<\/strong>: Soleo<\/strong>. It\u2019s location is not new, as it forms part of the emblematic Fuerte Marbella hotel<\/a>, which this year is celebrating its 60the anniversary<\/strong>. But its decoration<\/strong>, under the auspices of renowned interior designer Isabel L\u00f3pez Vilalta<\/a>, who once decorated Celler de Can Roca,<\/em> and its menu<\/strong>, have been completely revamped.<\/p>\n

Back to Marbella’s past<\/h2>\n

The result is an elegant return to the past<\/strong>, to 1957<\/strong>, when Marbella was just a small fishing village<\/strong> and where Jos\u00e9 Luque<\/em>, founder of Fuerte Group Hotels<\/a>, decided to open a hotel<\/strong> on the seafront promenade, the first <\/em>to open in the centre<\/em> of Marbella Village<\/em>.<\/p>\n

This is why its interior<\/strong>, as well as its well-appointed terrace <\/strong>with Mediterranean view, mirrors an elegant ship,<\/strong> using nautical fabrics; light reddish colours, like the sunset; solid Iroko wood; tiled tabletops; sail-shaped awnings and bulrush and bamboo<\/em> on the chairs. All of this, together with the ebb and flow of the waves<\/strong> lapping on the shore, give its visitors<\/strong> the feeling of enjoying an authentic seafaring experience<\/strong>. This experience becomes real when you look at the mirrors<\/strong> on the walls, which bring diners close to the magic of the water<\/strong> surrounding them.<\/p>\n

Fusion cuisine to recover the glamour of Marbella<\/h2>\n

Another aim<\/strong> behind the reinvention of this Marbella classic<\/strong> was to bring back some of the glamour <\/strong>for which Marbella\u2019s seafront promenade was noted for many years. This has been achieved through an innovative menu<\/strong> with Mediterranean inspired <\/strong>dishes and a touch of fusion<\/strong>, combining traditional recipes<\/em> such as rice dishes, fried fish and shellfish, with other more modern and up-to-date recipes<\/em>; as well as a range of healthy options<\/em>. Just like Marbella<\/strong>, it’s a latticework that brings together the best of the seaside<\/strong> and mountains<\/strong>, sealed with fire<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

This refurbishment<\/strong> has also included the sunbathing area<\/strong>, with the addition of a new sunlounger menu,<\/em> whose products can be ordered easily by beach-goers, without moving from their elegant sunloungers, thanks to the \u201cPress and go<\/strong>\u201d service.<\/p>\n
