{"id":2453,"date":"2017-11-28T07:00:57","date_gmt":"2017-11-28T06:00:57","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/rsc.fuerte-group.com\/roma-european-platform-about-inclusion\/"},"modified":"2024-05-04T15:27:25","modified_gmt":"2024-05-04T13:27:25","slug":"roma-european-platform-about-inclusion","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/rsc.fuerte-group.com\/en\/roma-european-platform-about-inclusion\/","title":{"rendered":"Fuerte Group hotels, the only Spanish company to take part in the European platform for Roma inclusion"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>The person in charge of representing the Andalusian chain was the director of Fuerte El Rompido, a hotel that has been collaborating with the \u201cLearn by working\u201d programme, backed by the Spanish Red Cross, the Romany Secretariat Foundation and the \u201cLa Caixa\u201d Charity <\/strong><\/p>\n<p>29 November 2017. <strong>Fuerte Group Hotel<\/strong> was the <strong>only private Spanish company<\/strong> to participate in <a href=\"https:\/\/europa.eu\/newsroom\/events\/11th-meeting-european-platform-roma-inclusion-transition-education-employment_en\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">11th Edition of the European Roma Platform for Inclusion<\/a>, which was held on <strong>27 and 28 November<\/strong> in <strong>Brussels (Belgium)<\/strong>, which advocates in favour <strong>of the entrance<\/strong> of <strong>vulnerable groups<\/strong> onto the labour market through <strong>education<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_38483\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-38483\" style=\"width: 640px\" class=\"wp-caption alignnone\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-38483 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/rsc.fuerte-group.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/11\/fer-inclusion-roma-2.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"640\" height=\"420\"><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-38483\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">From left to right Ana Segovia, Communication Department of the Romany Secretariat Foundation, Tomeu Roig, director of Fuerte El Rompido and Bel\u00e9n S\u00e1nchez, director of the international department Romany Secretariat Foundation.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>The person in charge of <strong>representing <\/strong>the Andalusian hotel chain at this major <strong>equal opportunities event<\/strong> was <strong>Tomeu Roig<\/strong>, director of the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.fuertehoteles.com\/en\/hotels\/fuerte-rompido-cartaya\/the-hotel\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Fuerte El Rompido<\/a> hotel and expert in the subject, as he has worked with <a href=\"https:\/\/www.gitanos.org\/que-hacemos\/areas\/empleo_y_formacion_profesional\/aprender_trabajando.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">\u2018Learn by Working\u2019 Programme<\/a> for some time.<\/p>\n<p>Thanks to this initiative organised each year by <strong>the Spanish Red Cross, the Romany Secretariat Foundation <\/strong>and <strong>the \u201cLa Caixa\u201d Charity<\/strong>, over the last <strong>3 years<\/strong> over <strong>70 young people<\/strong> aged between <strong>18 and 30 years<\/strong> have been given <strong>training<\/strong> at <strong>Fuerte El Rompido<\/strong> on skills related to essential hotel <strong>duties<\/strong> such as <em>maintenance, kitchen, restaurant, reception, rooms, entertainment and Spa<\/em>.
