As the 2021 summer season is close to its end, <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.fuerte-group.com\/en\/index.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Fuerte Group Hotels<\/a><\/strong> has just published its <a href=\"https:\/\/www.fuertehoteles.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/10\/Memoria-RSC-2020-ING-compressed.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><strong>Corporate Social Responsibility Report 2020<\/strong><\/a>, a year that, according to its president, <strong>Isabel Garc\u00eda Bard\u00f3n<\/strong><em>, &#8220;it was the most complicated in the entire history of the group&#8221;,<\/em> which was founded in Marbella in <strong>1957<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>Despite the scarce <strong>three months<\/strong> in which the group&#8217;s hotels were <strong>open<\/strong>, due to the <strong>forced closures<\/strong> to cope with COVID-19, which generated <strong>historic losses<\/strong> as its <strong>revenue <\/strong>was reduced by a 76% compared to <strong>2019<\/strong>, the Andalusian company wanted to present this report to show that those months of apparent inactivity were in reality, a time of great <strong>creativity<\/strong>, of <strong>innovation<\/strong>; of boosting of the <strong>digitalization<\/strong> of the business; of <strong>aid to employees<\/strong>, who for their part also made many sacrifices as they had to accept an <strong>ERTE <\/strong>(Record of Temporary Employment Regulation) and, in many cases, they had their working hours reduced; of great efforts by the <strong>company<\/strong> to maintain <strong>liquidity<\/strong> and be able to face <strong>fixed costs<\/strong>, which in the case of the hotels, still closed, amount to more than <strong>40,000<\/strong> euros per month; of <strong>empathy<\/strong> with <strong>customers<\/strong> who could only be seen through social networks; and of great <strong>support<\/strong> for <strong>the most vulnerable groups<\/strong>, whom the pandemic put in even more extreme situations.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-54812\" src=\"https:\/\/rsc.fuerte-group.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/11\/objetivos-desarrollo-sostenible.jpg\" alt=\"Objetivos de Desarrollo Sostenible (ODS) i\" width=\"640\" height=\"420\" \/><\/p>\n<p>In this way, this report of <strong>51 pages<\/strong> reviews the <strong>social projects<\/strong> in which Fuerte Group Hotels invested <strong>115,913.60 euros<\/strong> throughout 2020; it praises the<strong> speed<\/strong> with which the <strong>tourism sector<\/strong>, and the <strong>chain<\/strong>, responded to <strong>adapt<\/strong> its facilities and services to <strong>COVID-19<\/strong>, creating <strong>protocols<\/strong> and <strong>measures<\/strong> that, in the case of the Andalusian company, managed to preserve the <strong>safety<\/strong> of its customers; and it mentions the sustainability <strong>objectives<\/strong> that they <strong>achieved<\/strong>, despite the paralysis that the pandemic produced in many of them.<\/p>\n<p>It also stands out the <strong>increase<\/strong> in the <strong>number of followers<\/strong> achieved in the different <strong>social media<\/strong> profiles, thanks to the initiatives carried out to interact as much as possible with the group&#8217;s <strong>digital community <\/strong>during the <strong>lockdown<\/strong>; and the implementation of <strong>new technologies<\/strong>, which have allowed progress to be made, in record time, in the <strong>digitalization of the hotels<\/strong>, especially in aspects such as <strong>check-in<\/strong> and <strong>payment methods<\/strong>, among many other issues.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-38609\" src=\"https:\/\/rsc.fuerte-group.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/11\/Logo_fuertegroup_ver_Gris-03.jpg\" alt=\"Fuerte Group Hotels\" width=\"640\" height=\"420\" \/><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The report concludes with an <strong>optimistic view<\/strong>, that hopes that the <strong>tourism sector<\/strong> will take advantage of the situation from which it seems to be emerging, to position <strong>tourism<\/strong> as a <strong>modern, professional industry<\/strong>, capable of once again <strong>leading<\/strong> the creation of <strong>wealth and employment<\/strong> in our country, and of contributing to the <strong>Spain brand<\/strong> through its own attributes of <strong>quality, innovation<\/strong> and a great generator of unique and unforgettable <strong>experiences<\/strong>.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Even the chain&#8217;s hotels were open for just three months, due to the closures imposed by the authorities to control the evolution of the pandemic, the Andalusian group maintained its social action, its support for employee training and the implementation of environmentally friendly activities.
